Mulligan, not only was a great Baritone Sax of jazz; he was also a
great composer; an excellent arranger; and a leader with important
and original ideas. His name stood out, together with Chet Baker,
when he formed his famous quartet without piano. He enjoys well -deserved
recognition for his out- standing work in cool jazz. BUY
