Gene
Krupa
Chicago 1909/ N.York 1973
Drums, Orchestra Director
He
was a drum celebrity of Swing and was famous in the 20s for his long
solos. Also he was one of the first to incorporate the bass-drum in
his recordings. Krupa played and shone in his own orchestra and those
of B. Goodman and T. Dorsey. His technical quality can be compared
to that of today’s modern drummers. BUY
